"Minute to Win It" & Pass off Articles of Faith (Day 2)

The girls continued to pass of their Articles of Faith and they did a great job!
Some of the games this time were to unravel rolls of streamers, get a cracker from your forehead to your mouth without using your hands, pick up paper bags with your mouth and run them across the room, keep balloons in the air with only one hand, and fan plastic eggs across the floor with a pizza box.

"Minute to Win It" & Pass off Articles of Faith (Day 1)

The girls passed off their Articles of Faith for the chance to compete in many small games. They had to do a particular task in one minute. These were lots of fun and the girls did a great job! Some of the activities were: stacking cups and bouncing ping pong balls into cups of water to get tick tack toe, three in a row. Also...
sorting jelly beans into their color groups,

get 100 clicks on the pedometer - on their head,
(lots of head shacking for this one)

and knock off the bowling pins with a ball on a string that is tied to the back of your pants.
The girls had so much fun and they did such a great job passing off their Articles of Faith that we decided to do it again in the following activity.

Dodge Ball!

The girls did a great job playing dodge ball. It was lots of fun! Dodge ball is a great way to exercise and have a fun time.

ZUMBA!!!

A wonderful Zumba instructor came and taught our girls a fun Zumba class. She even gave them a CD with the songs they practiced to on it so they can Zumba at home. It was so fun and it was so kind of her to come and teach us! We had a great time!

Visiting the Schools

The first week we went to Horizon Elementary and Sister Benson gave us a great tour of the building. One of the students there came and spoke about education and her participation in student government there.


The second week we toured Pine View Middle School and Susan Hutchins came to speak to us about education and life in Middle School.

Stake Actvity Days

The girls attended a fun Stake Activity Days where they learned about goal setting, making healthy snacks, physical fitness and learned how to play jacks and hop scotch, and how to keep themselves spiritually healthy. The stake did a great job. If anyone has any pictures from this activity we would love to add them to our blog. Thanks!

Mother-Daughter LUAU

Our Mother-Daughter Luau was great! Thanks so much to everyone that came and everyone that helped. The girls and moms made a luau picture frame and then got their pictures taken to put in the photo frame. Here are some of those great photos!










These are some of our decorations around the room and some of the girls starting to work on their photo frames.

We had Jamaican Jerk Chicken Salad, mixed tropical fruit, sherbet slushy, and ocean cupcakes.
